KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is a regulatory requirement for anyone collecting money. Simiz integrates it into your onboarding flow and supports you through to validation.
Until your KYC is validated, you can use the sandbox to develop and test. You cannot yet collect real payments.

What you need

Prepare in advance:
  • Official ID (national ID card, passport, driver’s license)
  • Recent proof of address (less than 3 months old)
  • For a legal entity: trade register or equivalent
  • A recent photo for biometric verification (selfie)

Start verification

From your dashboard:
  1. Account → Identity verification
  2. Click Start verification
  3. Follow the guided steps (upload, capture, signature)
You can also complete KYC from your mobile by scanning the displayed QR code — the mobile flow is optimised for photo capture.

How long?

Most KYCs are validated within minutes to a few hours. Cases requiring manual review (blurry documents, inconsistent data) may take up to 48 business hours. You receive an email notification at every status change.

My KYC was rejected, what do I do?

You receive an email explaining the rejection reason and listing what needs fixing. Re-submit from Account → Identity verification → Re-submit. If you don’t understand the reason, contact support@simiz.io.
For a legal entity (company), we also require KYC for the director and beneficial owners (KYB). Prepare documents for each person before starting.
