Simiz onboarding takes you from account creation to your first successful transaction in a few clear steps.

Step 1: Create your account

Sign up at simiz.io/register. Confirm your email.

Step 2: Create your organisation

On first login, you create your organisation (the legal entity that collects payments). Provide:
  • Trading name
  • Primary operating country
  • Business type (e-commerce, services, platform, etc.)
  • Reference currency

Step 3: Identity verification (KYC)

To collect real payments, your identity and that of your entity must be verified. See KYC getting started.
You can immediately test in sandbox before KYC is complete. Sandbox emulates real transactions without moving funds. See Sandbox testing.

Step 4: Create your first project

A Simiz project groups your payment channels (Mobile Money, cards, etc.) for a site / app. From the dashboard, click New project and:
  • Give it a name (visible to your customers on the payment page)
  • Choose which payment methods to enable
  • Retrieve your API keys in Project → API

Step 5: Run your first payment

Three options:
  • Payment Link — create a link to share (no code needed). See Payment Links.
  • Hosted Checkout — Simiz-hosted page. See Hosted Checkout.
  • Direct API — backend integration. See Quickstart.

Step 6: Monitor your activity

Your dashboard shows in real time:
  • Balance and transaction history
  • Webhooks received and their status
  • Channel performance

In-dashboard step-by-step guide

A Setup Guide widget is visible on your dashboard during the first few weeks. It automatically tracks your progress on key steps:
  • Create your first organisation and project
  • Submit KYC
  • First sandbox transaction
  • First real transaction
  • Payout configuration
  • Connect a notification channel
Each step auto-checks when completed. The widget disappears once all steps are done — or can be manually dismissed from the context menu.
