The Recovery module helps you recover revenue you’d lose on failed payments — insufficient customer balance, temporarily unavailable operator, OTP not entered in time, etc.
Recovery is available self-service from your dashboard. Activate it per project to fit your needs.

What Recovery gives you

  • Smart retry — automatic retries on a strategy matched to the failure reason
  • Customer reminders — automated notification on the channels you configure
  • Cohort analytics — recovery rate compared across cohorts (operator, period, failure reason)
  • Re-payment page — link sent to the customer to finalize without re-entering their details

When to activate

  • You have more than 5% transaction failure on Mobile Money
  • Your customers pay on unpredictable schedules
  • You operate subscriptions or recurring payments

What the customer sees

When a payment fails, the customer receives within a short delay:
  1. A notification explaining the failure with a message matched to the cause
  2. A secure link to retry the payment
  3. If the customer does not act, an additional reminder (cadence configurable)

Measuring impact

In Dashboard → Recovery, you see recovery rate by cohort (failure reason, operator, period) so you can compare performance before / after activation.
For recurring payments, Recovery is especially effective: most failures are temporary (insufficient balance on the due date). Retrying with the right delay recovers a significant share of these failures.
